The Building: The Roccabella is a twin tower construction built on the same foundation but at two addresses on René Levesque boulevard in an area increasingly referred to as the New Manhattan because of its high concentration of tall residential buildings. It shares many similar characteristics to the 1200 Ouest building a few blocks away such as a doorman in each tower, identical orientations, and joint common areas. The similarities end there however as the Roccabella’s modern façade is very different to the 1200 Ouest’s Art Deco style. Amenities at Roccabella are second to none with an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, home theater, gym, lounges, and terrace with outdoor furnishings.

The condos: The units in Roccabella are all very similar which must have helped immensely in keeping costs down. The layouts, regardless whether they are one-bedroom or two-bedroom units, are all reminiscent of one another. The one-bedroom units are in the middle of the towers and a bit over 600 square feet whilst the two-bedroom units also have two bathrooms and are located on a corner. All units have a private balcony and very similar kitchens.

The location: Roccabella’s location is similar to L’Avenue, Tour des Canadiens 1, 2 and 3, as well as that of YUL and Icone. The area has comparatively few amenities, but more will come as residents start moving into all the buildings in the area. There are many high-end restaurants as well as cafes, pubs and bars in the area. Shops are a block or two away on St Catherine’s street and its not the best location in the city for access to the famous underground city however there is a subway station on Lucien Lallier just around the corner. This is an ideal location for professionals seeking modern buildings with top of the range amenities.
