The Building Roccabella is a development consisting of two twin condominium towers built on a shared foundation. Located on Boulevard René-Lévesque, in a neighbourhood increasingly referred to as the "New Manhattan" due to the rapid construction of above-average-height towers in close proximity to one another. Roccabella shares many similarities with 1200 Ouest — two towers with separate lobbies and distinct addresses, yet with a shared parking facility and shared amenities. However, the similarities end there: Roccabella's design makes it a thoroughly modern building, whereas 1200 Ouest draws its architecture from the Art Deco style of the 1920s. The amenities at Roccabella are exceptional, including an indoor pool, sauna, and hot tub, as well as urban cabins, terraces, fitness centres, business meeting rooms, and private home theatre rooms.
The Condos The condos at Roccabella come almost exclusively in two formats. With the exception of the penthouses, units are either one-bedroom or two-bedroom. Both unit types share a nearly identical layout for the primary bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living area. Their respective net square footages are approximately 650 square feet and 950 square feet. The two-bedroom version features corner windows, with the second bedroom and second bathroom positioned at the rear of the unit near the entrance — a layout that does not exist in the one-bedroom version.
The Location Located in the same neighbourhood as L'Avenue, La Tour des Canadiens, YUL, and Icône, the area is home primarily to a mix of quality restaurants alongside more casual options, as well as bars and pubs. The neighbourhood is still developing, so everyday amenities remain somewhat limited. A grocery store opened at L'Avenue at 1050 Drummond in 2018, which is a promising start. The Lucien-L'Allier metro station is just one block away, and Sainte-Catherine Street is a 4-minute walk, as is access to the Underground City. A convenient location for Concordia and McGill students, as well as for professionals looking for a building that minimizes the need to venture outside for daily needs.
